Imagine, your FCP project is rendering too slow so you simply plug in your iPod and iCell to increase the CPU power of your system. Cool.

i don't think the number crunching power of an ipod would actually increase your performance in FCP. Large rendering jobs are usually done on render farms. the cell tech is dependent on a large number or user in a multi-user enviroment.

But before everyone starts getting too excited by all this, here's one other point to note: IBM has been here before. The Sony-IBM-Toshiba alliance is uncannily reminiscent of the Apple-IBM-Motorola alliance. One was formed to create an Intel-busting next-generation computing platform and the other launched the PowerPC.
