phone takes longer time to backup in OS 3.0 GM compared to 2.0

Has anyone noticed OS 3.0 takes more time to backup the iphone compared to OS 2.0?

I tried to backup my iphone data after updating my phone with OS 3.0 GM and it took me about 2-3 times longer to back up the phone compared to the time it took me with the OS 2.0.

Maybe it's a bug? haha...
