But with Snow leopard coming out and supporting more ram, will the uMB 2008 also support more than 4gig ram when SL is installed?

NoSmokingBandit macrumors 68000 Jun 10, 2009 #3 Leopard supports more than 8gb ram, so its not a software issue, its a hardware limitation. Your motherboard might not recognize more than 4gb depending on the mdoel.

Buskape macrumors 6502 Jun 10, 2009 #4 Some websites said the uMB support up to 6 gb of ram, but if apple releases a simple driver it goes up to 8 gb. Maybe with Snow Leopard we will see, maybe apple will only make it work for the unibody macbook pros.
