Slow backups on 3.0 GM?

Anyone else with this problem? Same story as with all the other software upgrades I suppose. My backups now take about a half hour, which I know isn't terrible, but not ideal. I'm wondering if maybe if has to do with app compatibility with 3.0 since I know certain apps caused this to happen when the app store initially came out. I tried deleting my backups from within iTunes and re-syncing but it didn't help. Any tips?

Mine is pretty slow as well. Hopefully it's because its the first time I'm doing a backup after updating and after that it'll be fast again(hopefully).

The backups backup EVERYTHING now. Your initial backup should take a long time. After that, it will do incremental backups and it should go a lot faster.

Yeah 2nd one wasn't too bad. Phew. When you said that first time I'd realised I've not connected to the PC since the update. GM remembered where all my apps where on the screen, bout time Apple!!! This phone is really reaching it's potential now I think..

First one was slow, after that it is just as 2.2.1.

I think maybe I'm on my own then because I've backed up 2 or 3 times now with the same result. I'll try again when I get home but man was it slow the last few times.

My backups only take about 4 minutes. Even the first one I did after installing the GM.

I had this issue with 3.0GM, my only work around is deleting facebook before I sync my phone. For some reason this app makes the sync slow to a crawl.

I've tried backing up (both plain and encrypted) several times and it hangs 3/4 of the way through. I've let it sit as long as 30 min with no joy.
