For all that are complaining about the tabs in Safari 4, whether it be on top or bottom, just to let you know, in the current build for Snow Leopard, they are on top.

The pic with the hover text about a tab shows what the drag corner looks like with a mouse hovering and the blue "+" appears when you click the plus to create a tab.

I prefer them on bottom, but I wouldn't go as far as to say I hate the Browser based on tab location.

If they are going to be on bottom, Yay! :D
If they are going to be on top, meh... I'll adjust.
If they add the option to toggle top and bottom tabs, best idea so we can finally stop having threads about tab location.

OMG I can't believe people act like cry babies about tab location. Seriously get over it. What's next? People crying that there is no loading progress indicator?

Well, I hate them but I'm sure I'll get used to it just like I must get used to the silly reload button being gone from the left side.

Why must they keep trying to change the space time continuum? Tabs belong on the bottom, women on top. kthxbai.

Seriously, what's the big deal. Whatever they decide, there is sure to be a hack to pit them where you'd like.

whether or not tabs on top is better Apple decided that by default Safari 4 will have tabs on the bottom and so thats how most of Safari 4 users will use it.

Mac techies can move them to the top if they want, but if tabs on the bottom is how Apple decided to do it thats good enough for me. besides having the close tab button on the very left tab close to the traffic lights seemed like a bad UI choice at the time and Apple might remove the way to change to top tabs in the future.

the thing is ....

the selecting frame in your pic.. is still the one looks like safari 4 beta....

while the safari 4 on leopard... the frame looks like the one in itunes..

im a bit concerned if the version of safari in snow leopar is the one between beta and the official release...

the version number of safari 4 on leopard is 5530.17

while the one in your pic.. is 6530.8..

dont really know which one is the latter one..

anyway... still hope they could keep the top tabs...

So I know yall like arguing about the top or bottom issue, but has anyone stopped to to think that maybe these pics are fake?

There are tons of websites with pics and info of the latest beta, including macrumors frontpage, but not one of them mentions that tabs are back to the top?

It's very easy to fake version numbers, you just edit a couple of plists.

Can anyone else confirm this?

on preview, I totally missed zero9s comment, he beat me to it.

WWDC distro of SL they are on the bottom, and the build number is different from what you have.

At least on the machine I'm looking at right now.
