First iPhone 3G S Unboxing Photos Showing Compass and Voice Control

It seems that the first iPhone 3G S unboxing photos have been posted to the Chinese version of Engadget.com. The images show the new 32GB iPhone 3G S unboxed and demoed with compass and voice control applications. Apple will be officially releasing the iPhone 3G S on June 19th.

Physically, the iPhone 3G S is identical to the iPhone 3G but offers a number of internal improvements including the digital compass (shown above), video recording, faster processor and graphics chips.

iPhone 3G S or Palm Pre--decisions...decisions. The Pre is so much smaller and fits in your pocket. I guess I'll decide once the 3G S comes out, but it's the same size as the 3G. I was hoping for a huge reduction in size.

I would hold the phones side by side before you make any decisions. The iPhone is a lot smaller in person than it looks in pictures.

The palm is .6" shorter and .1" narrower, but .19" thicker. Overall the volume of the iphone is less than the volume of the Pre.

Is it just me ... or screen looks different, it's not just a glass... looks like it has anti glare sticker? I know it has anti smudge layer. I am getting excited because I start already thinking why did I order if it look exactly the same

It does look like one of the matte screen protectors. I hope the screen doesn't look pixelated, like the screen protectors do.

Is the rear label text a bright chrome? The photo makes it look that way. I like how that clutter is a very faint gray-on-black on my 3G.
