Are the dimensions of the new iPhone 3GS the same as the iPhone 3G so that the cases for the older one will fit on the newer version too?

Yep, its size/shape is exactly the same as the 3G, although, and this is awesome... it weighs 2 GRAMS LIGHTER! yes, you heard me right, 2 entire gram's.
