URGENT: Dead iPod, please read

Hello,
I think my iPod just passed away. First, it would not eject, and after taking the firewire cable of, it completely froze. I resetted it and now it shows a CD with an Exclamation mark and after that the dead iPod thing. The iPod Software Updater does not work.

And i'm going on a plane trip in less than two hours. Does anyone have any idea? Please!

Try disconneting it from the computer and plug it in to the wall adapter, then follow the reset instructions in your iPod manuel, hopefully that will help, but it seems your iPod may have died.
