Cannot connect to Youtube after 3.0 upgrade (and more headaches!)

Hi, when I try youtube it says "cannot connect to youtube" after I upgraded to 3.0. Also, it did not copy all my applications. How to get all my backed up applications back to my ipod 2g ?! It didn't even ask if I wanted a new install or retrieve from backup!

And, why is youtube not working!

Both my iPod Ts gave me no YouTube the first time I tried them with 3.0 on them. After re-syncing them with my PC both had YouTube working. I can't explain why, but I'm glad my YouTube is working.

Happened to me as well. All you have to to is re sync your iPod and you're good to go! My youtube is working fine.

Actually thats NOT the solution... what you have to do is plug it in so that its name appears in Devices under iTunes...

Then, you DONT need to sync. Just go to your home screen, and open the youtube app while your iPod is plugged in. Just did it now, and it works seamlessly.

I didn't even need to restart my ipod like some people. YouTube worked from the get go.

Nothing in this thread works for me. Syncing, merely bringing it up in iTunes, restarting, changing the date past 2030, and even restoring it, but none of it works.

Also, there is nothing wrong with the wifi, because Safari, the App Store and every other application I have that interfaces with the internet are working properly.

What gives?

And take a look at this:

Three bars, plugged in, and I can even access the main site; but I'm totally unable to load any videos.

And it makes no difference if I'm using the mobile site, or not.

Because iPhones and iPod touches don't have flash, genius. Flash would fry the device.

Did you Pay for the 3.0 update, or did you "find" the 3.0 update?

If the latter, youtube will not work until you pay for the 3.0 update.

Apple can tell if you have paid, and will disable youtube until you pay.

YouTube works fine on the app and on Safari. I'll get a picture Monday as I am about to leave on a camping trip.

remove your ispw file 3.0 and restore ipod as new a new ispw file will be added back, then sync ipod again, it will be free as you have already paid
