No Screen Volume Controls for iPod Touch 1 Gen.

I just upgraded to 3.0 and it doesn't give me any volume controls on the screen. My iPod is a first generation iPod touch, so it doesn't have external volume controls.. Help?

Aswell it said "Dock Connector" but It's not connected to a USB.

i had the same problem too.

It seems that it takes away the volume control only if there is no earphones connected. Try to plug in your earphones and see if it comes up.

Worked for me.
