Dashboard widget for Notes?

Is there a Dashboard widget that allows you to read and edit Notes? I mean the pieces of text in (at least) iPhone's Notes application and Mail.app. (In the same way as there is the "To Do" widget that shows the same To Do items that you can access through iCal.)

I don't use Mail.app regularly and would like some quick way to access the notes synced from my iPhone.

I did some research on this and the problem seems to be that there is indeed no Widget that displays Notes from mail.app

Probably because of the databases Apple provides for dashboard?

Anyway, iSlayer says they cannot do it (yet.. so there is still some hope).

Developers, if you find a way around this, I would happily pay for the app that does it. I am constantly writing small notes on my iPhone (I use them as simpler toDo's or also just to remember things) and since these notes are now also synced to mail it would be lovely to quickly check them with dashboard without having to fire up mail.app.
 
I don't have an iPhone, could somebody provide me with a screen shot of where I would find these notes in mail.app? (then I'll fire up xcode and see if I can teach myself something useful :eek: )

You don't need an iPhone to see what Notes look like in Mail.app, I believe.

Just launch Mail - in the left-hand pane there's "Reminders", under which you'll find "Notes" and "To Do". Also, for creating a new note, there's a yellow button up there in the main toolbar.

I think Simple note and dashnote sync the same notes, which are not from the notes in Mail.
 
me too!

Just another vote saying I want this type of widget too!
(in case there are any developers out there reading this forum)
 
Notes on Dashboard

Same thing here.
We need a SIMPLE widget that synchronizes with mail's notes.
so simple.
Im awfully bored with sticky notes and others.
 
I have been looking for the same widget and no lucky so far..

I will be ok if at least there would be some gmail widget notes, because I could be able to sync them with iPhone thanks to iOs 4.0
