How to Create Packages

Nearly all applications are actually packages that you can view via the option-click, right? Well how can I go about creating one of these packages? 😕
I've looked everywhere on MacHelp and even "Googled" my brains out. I just can't find any reference on how to create a nice neat little package that will hide all the application undies of my creations. Got any good ideas?
 
In Panther, with the Developer Tools installed, go to Your Hard Drive/Developer/Applications/Utilities/PackageMaker.app. There you can package away.
