root user/password change?

I have a few users set up on my computer but I need to change a password on one of the accounts. All the accounts are standard except mine, which is Admin. How do I go in and change the password in one of the standard accounts? Thanks for the help!

System Preferences > Accounts

Click on the lock in the bottom left-hand corner, enter your administrator password to authenticate, and then choose the user you wish to alter. Set the password to what you want it to be, repeat in the verify field, and you're done.

This is how it's done in Panther, at least.

yeah but the problem is that I didn't have the Lock On at the time. Now the other users are greyed out?

open the terminal, and write
sudo passwd usr
here, usr is the short name of the account you are changing the password of..
it wd first ask your password, then ask you to enter the new password fr teh account twice..
