A couple of minutes ago I got this email claiming to be Paypal. What do you think? I know I didn't buy anything using Paypal in like a month, I'm actually kinda worried about this.
Here is the email:

Looking at it, I'm pretty sure it's a scam. The HTML code at the top is in the email just like it appears here, and no where in the email is my paypal username.

Never log into your PayPal account by clicking a link from a questionable email
If you log in to PayPal, do so by going directly to their site yourself

Right, I did log into my Paypal separately and I found nothing in my payment history. So I guess it was a scam. I was pretty sure that it was, just wanted to be completely sure. Thanks guys.:eek:

Also all official emails from paypal will contain the name you regiester with.

It would say
Dear John Doe.........

I find that is general a quick way to go through the scams as well.

I received the email back from Paypal:
Thanks for forwarding that suspicious-looking email. You're right - it
was a phishing attempt, and we're working on stopping the fraud. By
reporting the problem, you've made a difference!
