i have seen that a person can change the icons in his or her applications, how do do that myself, thanks

In most cases...

...get info on the app, click on the icon, and paste a new picture in. Changing dock icons is trickier, try control clicking the app and searching for a TIFF in the contents that looks like it might be the dock icon.

forget apps, how do you change an icon for folders? i thought you go get info, click on the icon, and paste or was it drag a new icon? anyway, i can't get it to work. this is in OS X by the way...

Yeah sometimes the changed icon doesn't show up until you log out... its a weird thing which everybody has a problem with.. hope they fix it in 10.2 (or the next update of OS X..)

P.S. Just to let you guys know... You might have realised that I'm not posting as much, I'm in India.. takes time to get to a net cafe, no other way of getting online, and the worst part is.. I'm stuck with crappy windoze machines! GAH!

ok, i'll try logging out & then back in.

irmongoose, i'll be hard, but you have to fight it!!😛 😀 😉

Just for your information, a fine site for OS X icons is xicons.com. They have TONS of beautiful icons for just about anyting including replacement icons for apps!
