It says on apple's site that you can add a 1gb ram to the new 12in i book, and before, it said you could not to the older one, max 640 ram, so I was wondering if instead of a 512 stick you could throw in a 1gb, and do something to make it work?? anyone know?

a 1 gig stick will work with no problems on the original G4 ibook; apple just didn't advertise it that way.
