Latch button stuck shut! Lid won't open.

So my 2006 Macbook Pro 17" Core Duo finally had a fall, only from a chair onto a cork floor, but still, enough to jam the latch button.

All post I have read have a lid that won't stay shut. My problem is the opposite. The lid stays shut. I need to pull it open by pulling up while jiggling it side to side.

Something must be stuck in there, cause I can push the left side of the button in a bit, but the right side won't budge very much at all.

At least this got me searching repairs and I finally fixed the option key that my baby had pulled out.
