Ipod Album questions

When I listen to my ipod mini, I select an artist and then it takes me to Album, then to songs, is there a way to stop it from going to the album name? I'd rather songs branch out of the artist name instead of albums then songs...thanks
 
That's simply the way the iPod works. You can just try to get used to it, or get in the habit of clicking the choice that says all songs or whatever it is.

If you're searching for a specific song by a specific artist, you do have to go through the Artist-Albums-Songs scheme.

But if you just want to play the songs by that artist, hit the play button when you've highlighted the artist's name in the Artists list. The iPod will then play all that artist's songs regardless of album (shuffled, if you've got the Shuffle: Songs option set).
