Well the PowerBooks should get an update in mid-late fall, so perhaps the iBook will receive an update around the same time or before Christmas. If the PowerBooks hit 1GHz, then the iBooks should hit 800-867MHz (depending on if the bus stays at 100MHz).

are you crazy? what more do you want!? the iBooks just got to 700MHz, if you want more you should just get a TiBook!😀 😀

months before Christmas I'd say...and if they ever do another completely new redesign, it'll be at a MW...but it's not late enough to do that..so by the end of the year is close enough..

i can see the ibook going to 700 low end, 800 high end right before christmas, but something faster would really be sexy

like i said before and i now believe, ibook won't see g4 until next year most likely

one thing which would be neat would be three ibooks; 12 inch screen, 14 inch screen, and 15 inch screen but i know that will never happen...pcs do this all the time on their models

i would also like to see a 16 inch tibook screen in the future sometime but i also doubt this as an option

I'd love to see a 16 too! Though I wouldn't want it to be 8+ pounds like the Sony...C'est la vie

what is it now? 5.9 lbs?

No update on Ibook this year.
and I hope that if they update it will be increased busspeed.

and I like to comment on Jefhatfields' signature:

The Macintosh Plus: January 1986 to October 1990
Price:$2600.00
Code Name: Mr. T
On the market for: 4 years, 10 months.
Processor and speed: 68000 at 8 MHz.
Memory: 1MB, expandable to 4MB.
Equipment: Built-in, black-and-white, 9" screen; no slots; no FPU.
Requires System 3.2 to 7.5.5

I plugged it in last year, and electricity fell out.
I guess the electricity net forgot how to power such an old device.
😀

I'm gonna clean this one up and try to put it back in service.

i was kidding with the pentium 75 thing, but i do have a pentium 150 with nt server that is not used, and a quadra 840av with os 7.x that has a dead battery

i will likely never use those machines for anything since i have an aging '99 ibook and '99 presario laptop and in this techie's world, those are darn right ancient

i am looking to buy in late '02 or early '03 sometime and i have barely enough time to use ONE computer so i may actually ditch pcs altogether even though i am a pc tech/network dude like that guy on the commercial...fixing pcs in the day does not make me want to boot up to windows at night😛
