As some of you know I have been searching for a skin that fits the main rear part of my iPhone 3G/3GS. I personally don't like the way the Invisible Shield/BSE's go around all the edge's and the buttons etc. I think it looks messy and is a nightmare to fit.

So, I emailed BSE with a design that I had not found anywhere, the closest I have seen is a Decal Girl but I just wanted a transparent skin rather than a crazy pattern. I got a email back from them saying it shouldn't be a problem and they would make a custom one for me. After a few more emails back and forth we sorted what I wanted and I also said to them they should add it to there product line as I had heard many people asking for the same thing.

With the mail this morning I received a free sample of the skin I had requested, and it is awesome. Here are some pictures.

I know it's nothing special but it's simple, easy to fit and covers the main part of your phone for putting it down on tables etc. So if you want one head over to BSE and send them a email asking for some, there the same price as a standard back or 2 piece back. They said they should have it as a option on there website soon, hope it helps out some people. :)

haha I remember you.

Best Skins Ever are an amazing company, their customer support rocks.

Oh yeah, resize that damn picture, holy crap dude....

Excellent idea! I like it. Better get a patent soon... There could be big bux waiting for you. :)

Now that your post doesn't give me a headache...:)

That was a really good idea on your part. I would buy that. Great design. Should have been an option all along. Glad to know customer service means something to companies now-a-days.

Yeah i dunno why no one else made something like this, it's crazy not to have one if you use your phone naked.

I sound like a spokesman for BSE now haha!

That is a great idea, though I still prefer the full skin since it covers the chrome and what not, and I install these all the time so it's easy for me. However for most, this would be a fantastic alternative, and MUCH easier than doing the full install.

I love that design for ease - the corners and the ports are a pain to get right. Unfortunately for me, the only place my iPhone really picked up scuffs were the edges/corners...so this wouldn't do a whole lot for me.

I was looking at these the other day and decided against it because it seemed like it would be too difficult to install... but this is a different story. I actually want it to go between the iPhone and a hard case, to prevent the scuff marks and scratches and come from dust getting stuck between the two.

Ya know sometimes the simplest designs are the best...

well done and even better that a company went as far as they did to implement it and send you one !

That's great. People should tell others when they've had great customer service. I'm going to check them out now. Do they have a referral program?

I've had nothing but good experiences with this company.

I went through two of the full back skins for the 3G and after having to exchange the phone for the second time I sent them an email explaining my situation and they sent me TWO free skins, one for my new 3G and one "just in case".

Plus I love how they look and feel AND the protection they provide.

This is exactly the sort of thing i have been wanting for the back of my phone, those zagg shields look like a huge pain to put on with the spray etc and i don't need to cover the chrome bezel or the buttons. I just want something simple to protect the back of the phone when placed on a table. I don't have a case for my iphone either.

I'd also like to add that having installed a ton of these, BodyGuardz, Invisible Shield, whatever...Best Skins Ever have THE best cut for long term hold. Invisible Shield uses these long flaps that just don't stay.

For the price you can't beat this place.

I also agree that the bestskinsever is really nice company.
I received a bodyskin that had 1/4inch scratch on it so I emailed them and they gladly sent me new one for free.

Big thumbs up for BSE...I've bought products from them for all my gadgets, iphone 2g, two 3Gs, macbook air and my UMB and ive never had any problems! As a testament to their outstanding customer service, I botched a shield install on my 3GS and the company is generously sending me a complimentary replacement, something they definitely didnt have to do. BSE ftw!

Excellent company. I actually got 2 of the new skins you posted about today, and they have them on the way already.

Very quick shipping! :) However, I received a damaged rear skin for my 3GS; paper fibers were sticking with the skin as I was carefully removing it. That left permanent markings on the skin. :(

I emailed them and get no response for two days. :(
I email them again. In the afternoon, there was new full set in my mailbox. :D

well not on the site yet

I dropped them a email tonightasked them about it and gave them a link to this thread. Also think you should get these skins free for life. they will sell lots of these perfect for those that don't want to spend 45 minutes putting on the full ones.

Got my new back skin already, very fast. What I found funny was the warning on the website about letting your wife or girlfriend know what you ordered because with the word skin in the name they may think it is porn. So I get mine today and think if they actually read the envelope they would know what it is. Well, that may be deceiving as well. Right under bestskinsever, it says "Unhealthily obsessed with keeping your new stuff shiny."

Perfect! This is exactly what I was looking for. Don't need a whole condom to cover such a nice piece of hardware :)
