Att activating iphone

will att allow the customer that is eligible for an upgrade from the 3g to the 3GS to still keep the 3g and give the 3g s to another account on the same family plan....
my grandmother is the primary account holder so is able to get an early upgrade... she currently has the 3g.. can i get her upgraded 3GS and still have her keep her 3g.. i use to have a 3g but it got stolen in April.
