Difference between 24" matte finish & new steel 24"

I am looking at buying a used iMac 24", and see some with white matte finish. Is there some difference with the resolution between the two?

Resolution is same (1920x1200) but white ones uses TFT panels and new ones uses IPS panels.

I had the same question. I'll my Macbook Pro work good with a 23" screen?

All LCD panels are TFT. Did you mean TN? The white 24" iMacs were H-IPS, though, just like the new ones.
