In todays world what would you do to get a decent IT job?

Get:

Microsoft Certificates:

MCSA
MCSE

Cisco:

CCNA

General IT:

A+, N+, Server+, Linux +

Would having as MCSE, CCNA, A+, N+ be a bad thing?
 
Well, firstly I'd realise Microsoft have changed all their acronyms 😉

Databases and virtualisation/storage are the two growth areas. Either do DBA qualifications or VMWare.
