trackpad question?

i have an amb but i have a question about the macbook trackpad

i can barely click on the top part its like realy hard i need to use my thumb to press it is this normal?

Yeah, that's pretty much just how they are, easy to click until about halfway/two thirds of the way up, then it takes a lot of force.

They're designed like that. The top of the trackpad is the hinge where it's joined to the base. There's no real solution to it other than enabling tap to click.

Clicking the top of the trackpad is generally not good practice and could potentially cause you to damage it if you apply excessive force to it.

They're hinged at the top. This is to simulate the presence of a button at the bottom.

You wouldn't push-click the top of a trackpad on any other computer, would you? 😉
