How to open a ZIP file?

I downloaded a ZIP from my e-mail and it says "Decompression failed". It won't let me do anything. Any advice?

The file could also be corrupted. Try The Unarchiver (StuffIt can stuff it) first, and if that doesn't work, ask the sender to re-send.
