2-person multiplayer game?

My girlfriend and I live a ways apart (i.e. in different countries at the moment), and we're thinking it would be cool to play a multiplayer game together. What would you guys suggest for a 2-person online multiplayer game? Windows preferably, since she hasn't gotten a Mac just yet (soon, though😎)
 
Okay, another condition. No dismembered zombies running down the street... 😛

pocket tanks(idk if that allows over the internet, i know lan for sure, but that dosn't help you.

Warcraft 3. It can be fun to co-op against the computers. If you're a noob bewary of Battle.net though. You will get beat badly, a lot. It'll get you ready for Starcraft 2.
 
World of Warcraft?

Works on Windows and Macs....

Multiplayer

a very light hearted game.


Tho you have got to pay a subscription...
 
Get World of Warcraft. You can both get the standard 10 day free trial and it works with both mac and pc. Sounds like the best choice for you atm.

I was thinking about this too. The 10 day trial doesn't sound too bad. The warcraft 3 idea is good as well. I'd even throw out there startcraft.
