SONY CD-RW CRX 300E DRIVER......WHERE?!?!

Any suggestions? I've had some suggestions from some very king people on here under the INVISIBLE CD BURNER thread, but nothing seems to work. My mac knows its there, so why can't I burn discs.....?!?!

If you learn something about burning discs with CRX 300E, please let me know. It works fine with on a Quicksilver with OSX and Toast, but I cannot burn with an iBook and built-in burner software using MacOS 9.2.2. I can see it and use it to read CDs (have not tried a DVD), but no burning capability. I have read that the 300E is an OEM version, 300A is the consumer version.
