Alright so i wrote an app and it just got approved and I dont want to violate any rules here, but can i create a post with a link to my app?

No: you do that in the App Store forum: this forum is for programming topics, not pimping.

Also put a post in the "user created apps list" thread on this forum, it may get you a couple of sales you never know

A link in your signature is fine, but starting new threads outside of the App Store forum promoting your software is not allowed. Please see the Guidelines for iPhone and iPod touch application developers.

I was aware it was more the "this isn't for app pimping" that I found humorous."
