cant get this site to work proper in ie firefox and safari seem fine

hello
i was working on a sites menu http://24.66.70.239/
i felt it was going good then my friend told me to check it in internet explorer
firefox and safari seem fine
but im hoping someone can help me im having a heck of a time with internet explorer
as you can see there is whitespace under the menu, there are words off to the side of it and the dropdown lists arnt working

just found i had lots of issues with validating and running on a larger resolution so il be trying to fix those but if anyone knows how to fix some of my ie problems i would be very grateful
