Would anyone really buy a CD of dot matrix printers making music?

You can actually download a few of [the user] tracks right from their website. (BTW this was brought up in macrumors before (look for dot-matrix printers)

actually, if there were some layers (i.e. mixing some of the existing tracks) to get some more depth, it could be quite nice.

Hmm, I have noticed that printers are really quite musical...The music is often frustrating because the more of it there is, the longer you have to wait.

But this IS an interesting concept that I'd be willing to check out...For free.

ha! i actually bought this cd off itunes a few months ago. could do with some more sequencing and layering. but what it is great for is sampling. i took one of the ink cartridge hitting the side of the caseing sounds and processed it into a kick drum. heres a rough mix.

Well, at least yours is ... um ... musical.

Neither is exactly in my tastes, though I could imagine a dot-matrix "song" that might be interesting in the way trained seals playing bike horns is interesting.
