Next Week?

A PowerPage source claims that next week will bring a "new product/service announcement" next week.

While PowerPage speculates on new PowerMacs and iPods, the most likely candidate appears to be iTunes for Europe.

German publication Heise.de reports that a German radio station has discovered the launch of iTunes for Europe will be on June 15th, 2004.

Previous reports have also placed the launch of iTunes in June:

iTunes Europe Next Month?
iTunes Europe - 1.29 Euros?

Common G5.1 - daddy needs a new pair of shoes

I say it is a crap shoot as to if anything comes out before WWDC... so I just sit and ponder WWJD.

PS - first post!

Apple has announced an official press conference on June 18th..I am sure it is not (most likely not) for hardware but for iTMS Europe.
Now with this news from this german web site... I am a bit puzzled...
... 15th will be on Tuesday...the susual day used by Apple to announce important news or for releasing hardware aupdate!!!
let's see, only 10 days to go

I'll be pissed if...

1- It's a Powerbook G5 announcement: just got my 15" last October...

2- It's iTunes Music Store for Europe: hello???? Canada left on the back-burner, eh?

Well, that's 8 months ago. Quite some time, don't you think?

Wink The words reputable and Powerpage are antonyms

I don't think the powerpage has EVER been right about any rumor (that they started)

They did have the backlit keyboard but 2 YEARS BEFORE the intro - prolly just speculation.

PowerPage posts rumors for hits. The stories they post are recycled. The website owner Jason O Grady is the rudest clod on the Mac Web.

The website itself is often problematic and comments are often deleted.

Ever heard of it? EH?

In all seriousness, though, I think ITMS for Europe would be great.

I wonder where I left my stock broker's number????

It's going to be iTMS Europe. Apple's sat on their butts too long on this one and Napster has beat 'em to it. It doesn't matter that Napster is a sucky service- it's the principle. Plus, it's too close to WWDC to announce any major hardware. I'm guessing we'll see new G5s (duh), iMac G5s, and maybe 4G iPods at WWDC. No new 'Books; it's been too short a time since they were last updated.

Talking WWJD

WWJD - What Would Jesus... Uh I mean, Jobs Do?

Release the G5 early and ship at WWDC or just keep stringing us along until the book of Revelations is read to the masses on June 28th

I say Apple blows some of their wad before WWDC

I think the iMac gets announed next week.

The main reason is because the WWDC keynote is only so long and it would take too much time to announce the iMac G5 and the new Powermac G5s plus give adequate time to showing off Tiger.

Hence

Apple announces Imac next week. PMs during the show and then dovetails to how PM are perfect for running Tiger.

Powerpage

This might be my time to chime in by saying that the PowerPage truly blows. They amaze me at their level of incompetence. They are constantly off in their rumor reporting - and then somehow feel that they were in the end on course. Their new is hardly. I occasionaly check in because I know they cover the Ericsson cell phones constantly and I'm waiting for a new model ---- other than than, Jason O. Grady, forget it!

That would be sweet, the iMac G5, and iTMS for Europe! Then at WWDC Steve can spend more time on the new Powermac G5's Drool, my money is waiting for Rev. B's Apple!

Well June 15th is the following week, not next week. "Next week's" Tuesday is June 8th. And then WWDC is June 28th. And then someone said June 18th?

It might be easier to count which days are not possible.

Hope you guys in Europe can get the iTMS soon, you've waited so long.

No matter what is released, it's all good - between next Tuesday and WWDC, we could be seeing new displays, G5 iMacs, updated PowerMacs, iTMS Europe - it's all good! I personally don't care what order they're announced in...
