My keyboard takes 10 secs to type 1 letter. I have no sounds at all on any applications. IT&T appeared where the 02 carrier normally is - could this be the problem? Obviously I've checked the settings and all sound preferences are set. I switched the thing (iPhone) on and off. When I receive a call, the Answer/Decline option shows only when caller hangs up. It's just one hassle after another!

I have trawled through various threads and see that the problem I have goes back to 2007. Am I being 'picky' thinking Apple should have sorted this rather than allow this annoying issue to be ongoing? I'm disappointed at having to pay a premium for a 'phone' which constantly causes grief.

Have you tried doing a restore to the base install?

Wait....what? So does your phone work...or not? Which model is it? And lastly, one would think a software keyboard would outlast a hardware keyboard...

How would we know, since we don't know what Part 1 is.

3G - It works, except for the keyboard and sounds, and when a call is received, the Decline/Accept option appears after the caller has hung up, rather than during.

I posted two seperate threads - you have only seen the last one. Part 1 is: no sounds at all, keyboard does not work efficiently i.e. it takes approx 10 seconds to type 1 letter, and by this I mean: a,b,c etc not a missive.

I've had it six weeks and it's been fine, until yesterday.
