fast write and read from mem card or usb sticks,which ones?

i see alot of cheap memory cards now and i know ive had this 2gb since a year and half and i notice its slow when reading and writing.

id like to copy a 4.5gb file to the memory card or usb stick and not take like 15 minutes lol. any suggestions on brands or type etc.
