I was surfing craigslist and there it was. An eMac (1.0GHz, 256MB RAM, USB 2.0) for 30 bucks! The listing had been on there for a month so I was pretty confident that the computer was gone, but I emailed the person anyway. Come to find out, he still had it! He said that only one person before me had even contacted him about it. I rushed over to where he lived about 30 miles (50 km) away and bought it. I happened to have two 512MB sticks of DDR RAM and put them into the machine and here I am. I'm using it right now. I know I don't really need another computer, but come on! Who could turn down a perfectly good Mac for 30 freaking dollars?

Wish I can find that kind a thing here in the Dallas area. My 7 year old can use one!

Craigslist is a good idea. I will check it out.

Enjoy your new toy!

Someone by me is selling eMacs for $200. I want one for my collection, but I am in the process of saving funds right now.
