Off topic as hell, but how does one do that? Never figured that out.
On topic, what have they changed from the last beta?

major new feature seems to be the ability to do code analysis, using Instruments, over wifi, some significant additions to UIImagePickerController and some changes to UIVideoEditorController.
Also fixed: iPod list views on music videos and audio books. Last edited by FreeState : Jul 14, 2009 at 07:44 PM. |

Umm, can we have PRINTING please?! Over Bluetooth and WiFi (3G would be a nice bonus)
How about the ability to do video/audio out of the entire iPhone OS via AV Cable?! What about an ability to use Bluetooth Keyboards and similar input devices?! And seriously, what about USB Mass Storage mode and the ability to add ANY attachment to a Mail message?! Like a resume in .doc -- sheesh. ;-) I'm sure there's more -- what's that iPhone wish list website address again? |

Just downloaded and installed it. No major changes observed except for the installation. This time the upgrade didn't delete everything and restore it afterwards. This time all my apps and music were still intact after the upgrade.

2) (AV out) That would be nice, I thought that was already working before? Did they stop that or take it out in 3.0? 3) I don't think Apple will enable keyboard bluetooth. Very small market for it. 4) Maybe when they release iDisk App, it can be used to send files over email. I doubt Apple will add a user file system to the iPhone, it's a smartphone not a laptop. |

New beta releases are usually on a Tuesday, two weeks apart from each other. In fact, there's only one time when that hasn't been the case (3.0 beta 5) and that's because it ended up being the final release and they wanted to test push notifications.
Off-topic: I still think push notifications are broken though. If you have multiple push apps or any IM push app enabled, you end up getting so many messages that it becomes annoying! Without anything like priorities set for push notifications, my phone is buzzing all the time from the slightest thing. I'm really hoping they don't wait until iPhone OS 4.0 to fix it, because it can't wait a year. |
