Hi guys, just signed up but always check the forum.
Im an apple whore, got macbook, imac, ipod touch and original iphone 2g which is unlocked to orange.
Recently bought a 3G off ebay, it was on 2.2.1, upgraded to 3.0 and put in 02 sim card, it comes up with "activation, please wait" but nothing happens, I have no signal.
But this is where it confuses me, i have a 3g signal, and can use it to surf the internet, I have restored over and over again, erased all settings numerous times.
I then tried unlocking it and using an orange SIM, but again i get the same thing, it activates, gets 1 signal bar but no carrier name, and a 3G signal which i can use to browse safari, app store etc.
Any help would be great, im so confused and stuck, i have no idea what to do.
