Using Bank of America Platinum Visa to extend warrenty

Well I'm most probably going to buy a 12" PB today.

Now my Platinum Visa with BOA says that they double the manufactuers warrenty. How does this work? Has anyone used it before?

And if it does work then buying applecare would be useless? 😕

Double the warranty would equal 2 years total, not three like Applecare provides, and you wouldn't get an extension on the 90 days of phone support unless you get Applecare.

thats a good deal actually

but i doubt it extends the phone support as well

could u call up apple to see?

i'm not sure how this works, but i don't think it buys you a second year of applecare, its an additional seperate warranrty via the CC company, i would call your CC to hear how that works.
