What is best app just to add unread mail icon in status bar?

Want a simple app that doesn't kill battery or ram just to show when have new mail in status bar.

i would recommend notifier. its great and has plenty of options! this along with grip has been working great for me, good luck!
 
Ok cheers, Notifier says its part of boss pref, didnt want to install that, just want to keep jb apps to a min to reduce lag.
 
I hate Notifier. The icons that it comes with are absolutely hideous.

Install statusnotifier and poof the icon away with bossprefs or SBSettings and call it good.

just installed statusnotifier and it looks like it uses the same icon as the default Settings, no biggie but when i click the screen goes black with the white status bar, and then after 5-6 seconds it returns to the springboard..
