Has anyone bothered trying to desolder the RAM modules and swap them out? The reason I ask is that if say, one wanted to swap out for a 4GB SO-DIMM.

I'm pretty sure the chipset supports 4GB DIMMs, doesn't it? Or does it only support 4GB DIMMs?

Either way, just seeing if anyone has been brave/stupid enough to try it.

EDIT: Nevermind, I though it was simply a DIMM soldered on. Apparently it's the individual RAM modules.

*facepalm*

You can change the chips if you have the right tools. That would also require a change of the IC and reflash the chip... I think it's cheaper if you need more ram, get a MBP.
