Snowleopard -- shifting from gamma 1.8 to 2.2
See http://www.apple.com/macosx/refineme...tml#systemwide
Is moving to 2.2 significant? Will this make it easier to port photos from Mac to PC and back, in terms of color correction? Last edited by bking1000; Jul 27, 2009 at 11:56 AM. |

it's easier in the sense that you don't have to change your display to 2.2 on your own.

Why the dislike? If we color correct the monitors, the results will look the same, won't they?

I switched to 2.2 gamma quite a while ago.

For what it's worth, that can also be said this way: "I have so much used to process photos with print in mind using 1.8 gamma that whenever I've tried another calibration I've failed". I'm just not that good
