Hi Guys,

Today my ipod touch external speaker doesnt seem to be making any noise,
When i adjust the volume it says that its adjusting the headphones volume and not the speakers, but there is nothing plugged into the headphone jack.....

Any ideas? this has just started for no aparent reason, ive tried turning on and off and resetting

Thanks

There is a similar issue with Apple's portable systems. The reason behind this is that there is a physical toggle in the earphone jack that tells the device or computer whether headphones are connected. As far as I know the only way to address this is to reconnect the headphones and unplug them a few times, otherwise the iPod's going to have to take a trip to the iPod Bar at your local retail store or you can ship it in to an Apple repair center.

Ok i seem to have solved the problem,

What did i do? I accidently dropped my ipod a good 3ft and when i picked it up , low and behold it was working perfectly!

That was a bit of luck :) Not to be recommended though :)
