installer program unresponsive

hey... ive been trying now for hours to get VMD to work on Mac OS X... ( a protien modeling application for work..)

all has been going well, but i have to install darwin XonX... (a program that allows running UNIX applications...)

the problem i am having is whenever i just double click on the installer PKG it opens "Installer" but doesnt do a thing! i have tried just opening installer and opening the file from there but it still wont work 😡 ....

any ideas?

[edit] by the way... this is a freshly installed system running os 10.1 [/edit]

hey.. i figured out the problem.

the website i got the file from renamed the package -- they added a numeber to the beginningof it.

by removing the number, the package worked again...
