Does Google Voice work with the iPhone 3GS?

I understand that the app was rejected from the App Store, but is it still possible to link your iphone to Google Voice and use all the functions? Thanks.
 
so if theoretically, if i had a google voice number, i wouldn't be able to recieve calls on my iphone?
