I have an iBook Dual USB, I recently had a problem with the CDRom (thats a whole nother story). I had the CD replaced but now the the Space, Backspace and Tab keys don't work. I have tried booting into a few live linux cds to determine if this is a software problem.

Anyone have any other ideas I can try to fix it? If the keyboard needs to be replaced is this something I can easily do my self? (I tried to replace the CD drive my self and that was a total disaster... 50 screws later ugh!)

Thanks for the help.

Jeremy

The keyboard is not expensive, you could try and find one and put it in yourself, it does not involve any screws. However it may be a good idea to find an Apple service provider and order you a new KB.
