DVI to Mini DisplayPort - finally!

Is this product even for sale yet? I think a few companies already have plans to make such a product, but no products have been released for sale.
 
Could you possibly use this device along with a male HDMI to male DVI conversion cable to run a PS3 in 1080P on the 24" LED Cinema Display?

DVI or HDMI for that matter use a different video signal than mini displayport. When you plug in one of the MDP to DVI/HDMI adapters your computer adjusts the signal for the output port. Its along the same lines of how a DVI to VGA adapter converts the signal from digital to analog.

But if you go the other way from DVI/HDMI to MDP the device with the DVI/HDMI output doesn't know how to convert the signal into MDP output because it wasn't designed for MDP, hence the need for an expensive converter, which I will inevitably buy(if it works) so that I can FINALLY use my PS3 on the 24" LED 😀
