Bought it during tax free weekend, and it is beautiful.

I got the SSD version and I started it up, everything went great. It was late because I got home late and I just updated the OS and apps while I browsed the web. Once the update was done I shut it down.

Next day I turn it on and its stuck on the startup screen. -_-

Due to lack of a drive I can't boot it from a cd and yada yada. So ideas?

I am new to Apple. :p

I am going in if no one has advice and talk to a genius.

Hi,

Did you try holding the 'On' button down until the machine shuts off?

Why not call Apple or drive to the store? :)

Sorry, but my only suggestion would be to remove the battery which would require you to open the bottom case.

Is the little spinny wheel under the apple spinning?

Unplug every perihferal (everything but charger) from the mac, and turn it on while holding down the shift key on the keyboard.

It should boot into safemode, and if it does, then you can just restart and it should boot fine.

If it doesn't then you can boot into single user mode, or just take it back to Apple and get a mac that works :),

Yeah, I have tried shift... nothing happens and the spinner does spin.

I setup an appointment for tomorrow, so I will just go in.
