Have any owners of iPhone 3G had problems after recent updates? I'm asked because I'm trying to track down the source of some problems I'm having.
I returned my iPhone 3GS and got a iPhone 3G*. 3G was activated in store. When I went home I had to upgrade/update the 3G software from 2.7 to the current version before I could synch my data from my mac to the iphone. However after I update/upgraded the iPhone system software, the phone became unactivated, and a long phone call to apple/ATT cust service failed to activate the phone.
*3G has better reception than 3GS in my experience (see other posts).
