You do realize they have over $29,000,000,000.00 in cash reserves don't you? Back when I was using a Power Computing clone maybe, not gonna happen now.

I'd buy them if I were inclined that way. Otherwise, I'd tell someone else to buy them. I don't see Apple going bankrupt anytime soon.

In a fit of desperation and rage, i'd run to the nearest convenience store and fill out 04-14-33-44-52 and 12 on a mega millions ticket, win $150 million (net), buy apple, and bring it back to life.

I'd revise my career options as a Mac dev. As for the Macs, I'd keep using them until they die. It's not like they stop working the day Apple dies – in opposite, when Macs stop working Apple could die .

My next computer would be a one that doesn't have too much crap I don't want and is well supported (drivers, 'clean' Windows installation DVD). I'd install Windows 7, Linux and Chrome OS.

Then, when the iPhone dies, I'd replace it with an Android phone. (Or the Palm Pre, if it ever gets released here.)

I'd miss the community. Sites like these, and the other devs.

I'd have a tear in my beer. I would be a little upset, then buy another Mac before they're gone.

Fine, let this post just die away and disappear. When these numbers get drawn, all of mac rumors will go "."

Stock up on Macs, big time.

Frankly, Microsoft would never let it happen. Who else are they going to steal ideas from? The next iteration of Windoze would look like Ubuntu!

You know, its interesting that you post this because way back in 1997, they almost did. I wouldn't worry because if that should happen now then this would happen:

Federal bailout.

This is a fairly illogical question. A BK would result in an asset sale. It would not affect those who aren't stockholders much. Considering their cashflow I say it's never going to happen.
