Macbook Pro doesn't sleep when closing the lid

Hey all,

I bought a MBP this February. For some reason, it won't go to sleep if I close the lid -- I have to manually go to the apple menu and press sleep. Any ideas? I tried a clean install, still no luck. 😕

Have you tried an Archive and Install?

Don't assume it's hardware automatically because if it works by manually putting it to sleep there's a chance it's just a software mix up.

Nobody is automatically blaming hardware.

Original post said a clean install was done but it did not fix the issue.
