iOS Multiple Devices: How to Select One for Debugging

Has anyone with multiple devices plugged in simultaneously figured out how to select which one XCode will use for debugging? According to the Apple docs, it says to use Project > Set Active Executable but I always only have one listing under that menu, which is always just the name of the application, not the name of a device.
